Big Blue Cross Country Opens Season

  The Millikin cross country team opened the season at the 2016 Titan Opener hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University at Maxwell Park in Normal, Illinois on Sept. 2.
          The Millikin men finished in third place in the 5K race. The Big Blue's top performer was freshman Jack Halpin in sixth place with a time of 16:28.4. Sophomore Alexander Erickson was 12th in 16:50.6 and senior Timee McElroy was 13th in 16:53.0.
          The Millikin women finished in fourth in the two mile race. Big Blue senior Jamie Michl was fifth at 12:15.0. Freshman Sarah Gompers was 14th in 12:37.1. Sarah Bradley finished in 18th in 12:42.2 and freshman Amber Johnson finished in 19th in 12:44.2.
