Sophomore Aly Barnes finished in sixth place at the 2022 NCAA Women's Collegiate National Championships at Tempe Town Lake near the campus of Arizona State University on November 12.
 
Barnes top 10 finish help lift Millikin to a third place finish in the team competition. Barnes finished the  750 meter swim, a 20 kilometer bike, and five kilometer run in 1:15.12.

The Collegiate Triathlon Coaches Association named Millikin Head Coach Molly Duesterhaus the Coach of the Year in Division III.
