NAPERVILLE – The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced its Women’s Volleyball Student-Athletes of the Week on Monday for matches played between Monday, Oct. 7 and Sunday, Oct. 13.
Hitter: Kailee Itzenhuiser, Millikin, Senior (Naperville, Ill.)
Itzenhuiser led Millikin to four victories last week, totaling 59 kills, 49 digs and eight service aces in 13 sets of action. Itzenhuiser, who previously won CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week accolades on Sept. 9 and Sept. 16 of this season, had at least 13 kills in all four starts, finishing the week with an average of 4.54 kills per set and a .272 hitting percentage.
Setter: Alyssa Frederking, Millikin Sophomore (Belleville, Ill.)
Frederking gave the Big Blue 5.92 assists per set in four wins last week, including a 20-assist performance in MU’s league win at Wheaton last Wednesday. She also had seven service aces in Saturday’s victory over Baldwin Wallace.
