Millikin Volleyball Earns Road Victory

The #18 ranked Millikin volleyball team earned a conference road victory 3-1 at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois on October 21.
The Cardinals won the first set 26-24 before the Big Blue rallied to win the second and third sets 25-12 and 25-17. North Central jumped out to a 17-13 advantage, but Millikin battled back to win the set and the match 25-23.

The current CCIW Player of the Week senior Audrey Krajec led Millikin with 18 kills. She had 11 digs and one block. Senior Jade Becker had 12 kills and three blocks. Senior Sara Travis had 11 kills and two blocks. Geena Mancuso had a team high 15 digs while Christina Capuani added 14. Alicia Thompson had 26 assists and Jenna Hilgers had 19 assists and three service aces.

Julie Laugel and Kedryn Orrison led North Central with nine kills each.

Millikin is now 23-5, 3-1 while North Central falls to 17-7, 1-4.

Millikin will host the Linda Slagell Dig For the Cure Classic on October 24-25. Millikin plays Wheaton at 4 p.m. on Friday.
