The Millikin football team dropped its final game of the 2014 season losing 59-6 at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois on November 15.
It was a 10-0 Augustana lead at halftime and the Big Blue made it a 16-6 game with six minutes and 40 seconds left in the third quarter. The Vikings then scored 43 straight points including 28 points in the fourth quarter.
Augustana had 458 yards in total offense while Millikin had 343.
Millikin's touchdown came on a 29 yard pass from
Nick Pippin to
Brady Cufaude. Pippin was 19-37-2 passing for 191 yards. Senior
Justin Brooks rushed for 159 yards on 34 carries. Cufaude had 10 catches for 116 yards.
Augustana quarterback Sam Frasco was 13-19 passing for 236 yards and one touchdown and he rushed for 104 yards on nine carries with two touchdowns.
Matt Madrigal led Millikin with 11 tackles followed by
Jake Gates with nine.
Millikin finishes the year at 3-7, 1-6 while Augustana ends at 5-5, 4-3.
