Big Blue Men's Basketball Opens with Win

Box Score     The Millikin men's basketball team opened its season with a 68-52 win over Westminster College in the CCIW\SLIAC Challenge in Elmhurst, Illinois on November 15.
    Millikin never trailed in the game and had a 35-27 advantage at halftime.

The Big Blue shot 40 percent from the field while holding Westminster to 33 percent.  Mililkin was 23-27 from the free throw line.  Millikin won the rebounding battle 41-39.  

    TJ Griffin led the Big Blue with 21 points.  Freshman Nathan Biggs scored 16 points and had six rebounds.  Freshman Zach Long had a team high eight rebounds and scored four points.  

    Verdis Lee, Jr. led Westminster with 10 points.

    Millikin will travel to Aurora University on November 18.  The Big Blue's home opener is November 25 at 7 p.m. against Principia.
