Millikin Men’s Basketball Falls on Road

          The Millikin men's basketball team lost at Webster University 81-68 on November 21 in the Webster Cavallo Classic in St. Louis, Mo.  Millikin is now 1-2 on the season while Webster goes to 2-1.
          Millikin trailed the entire first half, but a steal and three pointer buzzer beater by the Big Blue's TJ Sims pulled Millikin within two at 28-26 at the half.  Millikin took the lead early in the second half and built a seven point advantage with eight minutes left to play.  Webster rallied to take the lead and pulled away in the game's final minutes.  The Gorlocks rally was fueled by four three pointers by Hunter Ward.
          Webster shot 55 percent from the field while Millikin hit on only 38 percent of its shots.
Webster out rebounded Millikin 40-32.  The Big Blue were hurt by 20 turnovers.
          Sims led Millikin with 19 points and TJ Griffin added 15 points.  Nathan Biggs had 11 points.
          Ward led the Gorlock with 22 points and 10 rebounds.
          Millikin will play MacMurray College on Saturday at 3 p.m.  MacMurray lost to University of Texas-Dallas 86-81on Friday.
