Big Blue Down Olivet College

    The Millikin women's basketball picked up its eighth win of the season downing Olivet College 80-73 in Olivet, Michigan on Dec. 21.  Millikin is now 8-2 while Olivet falls to 5-5.

    Millikin was down 40-38 at halftime, but the Big Blue regained its shooting touch in the second half hitting on 58 percent of its shots.  For the game Millikin shot 47 percent while the Comets hit on 43 percent from the field.  Olivet won the rebounding battle 46 to 34.  

    Millikin had four players score in double figures led by Kelsey Going with 18 points.  Emma Hoyer and Devin Curry each added 13 points with Hoyer grabbing a team high nine rebounds.  Curry had four steals and three assists.  Alyssa Saklak had 12 points and four assists.

    Olivet was led by Stefanie Lang with a game high 25 points and 15 rebounds.  Carli Reid added 18 points and nine rebounds.

    Millikin will be back in action on New Year's Eve for a 2 p.m. game at MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois.
