Big Blue Men's Basketball Loses to UIS

    The Millikin men's basketball team lost to NCAA Division II the University of Illinois-Springfield 89-49 on Dec. 6 in Springfield, Illinois.

    Millikin struggled from the field shooting only 24 percent from the field.  The Prairie Stars shot 56 percent and out rebounded the Big Blue 47-35.

    Millikin's top scorer was TJ Griffin with 15 points followed by Jacob Kueker with 14 points and a team high nine rebounds.

    Mark Weems and Jamall Millison led University of Illinois-Springfield with 17 points each.

    Millikin is now 4-3 while the Prairie Stars improve to 5-1.

    The Big Blue return to action on Monday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. hosting Greenville College.
