Big Blue Women’s Soccer Rolls Past Rockford

          The Millikin University women's soccer team defeated Rockford University 5-0 on October 12 at Frank M. Lindsay Field in Decatur, Illinois.  Millikin improves to 6-6 while Rockford falls to 2-12.
          Millikin dominated the action out shooting Rockford 36-3 including 20 shots on goal by the Big Blue.
          Millikin scored four goals in a 10 minute span late in the first period to secure the victory.
          Freshman Rachel Patty had two goals for Millikin. 
          Millikin opened the scoring at 32:11 on a goal from Taylor Hartman off an assist from Kayla Lojas corner kick.
          Patty would score her first goal at 38:56 with the assist going to Emily Sanders.
          Millikin's Nicole McKevitt made it 3-0 on a shot from 20 yards out.
          Patty would score again at 41:18 with assists going to Taylor Copp and Cassidy Burroughs.
          Millikin's final goal game late in the game when Angela Pulice scored off an assist from Jessica Taul.
          Millikin will be back in action on Saturday, October 17 when they travel to Elmhurst College for a conference match starting at 7 p.m.
