Big Blue Women’s Soccer Downs Principia

          The Millikin women's soccer team scored a 4-1 victory over Principia College on September 15 at Frank M. Lindsay Field in Decatur, Illinois.
          Millikin junior Jenna Eaker scored two first period goals to put the Big Blue up 2-0 heading into halftime.  Eaker's first goal was on an assist from freshman Taylor Hartman.
          One minute into the second half, Principia got on the board on a goal from Madison Arens to make it 2-1.
          Millikin answered back with two more goals 15 minutes later.  Courtney Olson scored off a corner kick from Nicole McKevitt at the 61:52 mark and 70 seconds later Emily Sanders scored to make it 4-1.  Sanders put back a shot by Angela Pulice that was blocked by a Principia defender.
          Anna Benvenuto earns the win the goal recording two saves.
          Millikin is now 3-2 on the season while Principia goes to 2-3.
          The Big Blue will be back in action on Saturday, September 19 at Greenville College at 5 p.m.
