The Millikin volleyball team extended its winning streak to seven games scoring two victories at its own Fall Frenzy on Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Illinois.  Millikin won all four of its matches in the tournament.
          In its first match of the day, Millikin defeated Rose-Hulman 3-1 (27-29, 25-19, 25-17, 25-23).  Millikin had four players in double figures with kills led by Erin Syversen with 18.  Kelsey Talkington and Emily Seegmiller each had 12 and Cortney Bohn added 10.  Cassidy Kingery had five service aces and a team high 18 digs.  Syversen added 14 digs and two aces.  Emily Mihalkanin had 48 set assists.
          Emily McLendon led Rose-Hulman with eight kills.
          In its final match of the day, the Big Blue won a thrilling four set victory over the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.  Millikin won the first set 25-16 before La Crosse answered with a 25-17 win in set two.  Millikin trailed early in set three, but rallied to win 28-26.  Millikin then sealed the victory with a 25-13 win in set four.
          Syversen led the Big Blue with 25 kills.  Talkington added nine along with four blocks.  Kingery had 16 digs.  Alyssa Visvardis had three service aces for the Big Blue.
Emily Mihalkanin had 41 assists.
          Leah Putzier and Jill Entinger each had nine kills for Wisconsin-La Crosse.
          Millikin is now 9-4 while La Crosse goes to 8-4.
