Millikin Volleyball Splits Opening Matches

          The Millikin volleyball team opened its season splitting a pair of matches at the Griswold Center on September 1 in Decatur, Illinois.
          The Big Blue won its opening match 3-0 (25-22, 25-12, 25-22) over Greenville College.  Erin Syversen led the Big Blue with 16 kills and six digs.  Cassidy Kingery had a team high nine digs and four service aces.  Emily Mihalkanin had 36 set assists.
          Millikin lost to Dominican University 3-1 (13-25, 25-23, 25-17, 25-17).  Syversen again led in kills with 16.  Kelsey Talkington added 13 and Cortney Bohn had 11.  Kingery had 15 digs.  Mihalkanin had 46 assists.
          Millikin will play in a tournament at the University of Chicago this weekend starting on Friday, Sept. 4 at 7 p.m.
