Big Blue Men’s Basketball Loses to Westminster

          The Millikin men's basketball team lost to Westminster College 80-54 on November 18 at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Illinois.  The game was part of the 2016 CCIW vs. SLIAC Challenge.
          Millikin suffered through its second straight slow start to a game while the Bluejays were red hot.  Westminster shot 78 percent from the field in the game's first 10 minutes including going 5-6 (83 percent) from three point range.  On the game Westminster shot 56 percent from the field and 53 percent from three point range.  Millikin shot 33 percent from the field.  The Bluejays out rebounded Millikin 35-30.
          Tyler Pygon led Millikin with 15 points.  Freshman Logan Bader scored 12 and Nathan Lovekamp chipped in 10.  Bader and Korbin Farmer each had five rebounds.
          Romo Tabb led Westminster with 19 points.  He was one of four Bluejays players in double figures.
          On Saturday, Millikin will face the other St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) team in the tournament in Greenville College at 7 p.m. Greenville defeated fellow College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) team Elmhurst College 110-98 on Friday.  The Elmhurst men will face Westminster on Saturday at 3 p.m.
