Millikin Wrestlers Compete in Nashville

The Millikin University wrestling team went 1-2 at the Gator 'Boots' Duals held in Nashville, Tennessee on December 17.
         Millikin opened the day with a 42-3 win over Adrian College. The Big Blue then dropped dual matches to Baldwin Wallace 36-12 and to Delaware Valley 34-10.
         Millikin freshman Randle Taborn remained undefeated on the season winning all three of his matches at 149 pounds. Taborn defeated Drew Mandell of Adrian 17-7 in major decision, won over Joshua Decatur of Baldwin Wallace 11-7 and downed Robert Duxbury of Delaware Valley 8-0. Taborn is now 16-0 on the year.
         Big Blue sophomore Keajion Jennings went 3-0 at 184 pounds winning all three matches by fall. He pinned John Cooper of Adrian in 34 seconds, Zeckary Lehman of Baldwin Wallace in 2:29 and David Furmato of Delaware Valley in 4:05. Jennings is 15-1 on the season.
         Millikin's Tristan Birt went 2-1 at 141 pounds.
         Up next for Millikin is the NWCA National Duals on Jan. 4-5, 2017 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
