Millikin Women’s Soccer Drops Opener

          The Millikin women's soccer team lost it 2016 season opener 2-0 to Franklin College on September 1 at Frank M. Lindsay Field in Decatur, Illinois.
          Franklin's Jalynn Gorman broke a scoreless tie early in the second period with an unassisted goal.  The Grizzlies second goal was from Haley Lowe who put back the rebound off the post of a shot by Taylor McDaniel.
          Anna Benvenuto had eight saves in goal for Millikin.
          The Big Blue will be back in action on September 3 at 7 p.m. hosting Greenville College.
