Millikin Women’s Soccer Ties at Monmouth

          The Millikin women's soccer team played to a 1-1 tie at Monmouth College on September 14 in Monmouth, Illinois.  Darkness prevented the teams from playing any overtime sessions with the game tied at the end of regulation.
          Millikin sophomore Cassidy Burroughs' goal in the final minute of the first half gave the Big Blue a 1-0.
          Monmouth tied the game in the 52nd minute on a goal by Kara-Jade Gordon.
          Millikin split time in goal with Kaitlyn Garza recording five saves in the first half and Anna Benvenuto stopping seven shots in the second period.
          Monmouth out shot Millikin 17-9
          Millikin is now 2-1-1 while Monmouth goes to 2-2-1.  The Big Blue play Rose-Hulman on September 17 at 5 p.m. at Frank M. Lindsay Field.
