Big Blue Men’s Soccer Off to Record Start

          The Millikin men's soccer team defeated Rose-Hulman 2-1 to improve to 5-0 on the season on September 17 at Frank M. Lindsay Field in Decatur, Illinois.  The five wins to start the year is the most in school history besting the 4-0 start of the 2000 team.  Rose-Hulman drops to 4-3.
          The two teams played 75 minutes of scoreless soccer before the Big Blue got on the board on a goal by Bradyn Nokes off a corner kick from Nick Hatfield.  Millikin got a much needed insurance goal in the 88th minute when senior Tucker Mathieson hit his fifth goal of the season off an assist from Trey Knighton
          Rose-Hulman battled to the end scoring a goal at 89:17 when Austin Webb found the net from Charles Lynch.
          Trevor Creek earned the win the goal for Millikin with three saves.
          Millikin will look to go 6-0 on Sept. 20 when they travel to Principia.
