Millikin Volleyball Clinches CCIW Title

         The 10th ranked Millikin University volleyball team defeated Elmhurst College 3-0 to clinch its third straight College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) regular season title on October 24 at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Illinois.
         Millikin improves to 23-6 overall and 7-0 in the conference.  The Big Blue have secured the regular season title and earned the right to host the CCIW Tournament on November 3 and 4.  The Big Blue has one CCIW game remaining on October 31 at Carroll University.  All of Millikin's competitors in the conference have at least two CCIW losses.
         Millikin defeated Elmhurst 25-19, 25-15 and 25-21.  Emily Seegmiller and Alora Goodey each had 13 kills for the Big Blue.  Erin Syversen had 11 kills and eight digs.  Marissa McElroy had three digs and had three straight service aces in the second set.  Emily Mihalkanin had 35 set assists and seven digs.  Meredith Artime had a time high 23 digs.
         Alli Rogers, Allie Skowron and Hannah Davis each had five kills for the Bluejays.  Elmhurst is now 9-15, 5-2.
         Millikin will play in tournament action on October 27-28 at Washington University in St. Louis.
