Big Blue Men Lose at North Park

          The Millikin men's basketball team lost at North Park University 86-71 on February 21 in Chicago.
          North Park lead 42-36 at the half and outscored Millikin by nine in the second half.  Millikin shot the ball well hitting on 56 percent of its field goals including going 7-17 (41 percent) from three point range.  Millikin was 10-14 from the free throw line.
North Park hit on 49 percent from the field and was 9-27 (33 percent) from three point range.  The Vikings were 15-21 from the free throw line.  Millikin won the rebounding battle 33-27.  Millikin played well against the Vikings who tied with Carthage and Augustana for the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) regular season title.  All three teams finished the year at 11-5 in the CCIW and 18-7 overall.
          Millikin's top scorer was freshman Jordan Cunningham with career high 21 points.  Nathan Lovekamp had 11 points and a team high seven rebounds.  Tyler Pygon scored 11 points and had five assists.
          North Park's top scorer was Jordan Robinson with 26 points and 10 rebounds.
Colin Lake finished with 16 points.
          Millikin finishes the season at 3-22, 1-15.
