Big Blue Volleyball Wins Twice

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The eighth ranked Millikin volleyball team improved to 11-1 on the season with two victories at the Barker Chevrolet Classic at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois on Sept. 22.
         Millikin defeated Wisconsin-Oshkosh 3-1. Oshkosh won the first set 25-21 before Millikin rallied to win the next three 25-18, 25-18 and 32-30. Erin Syversen led Millikin will 16 kills, 13 digs and three service aces. Alora Goodey had 13 kills and three blocks. Marissa McElroy added nine kills. Emily Mihalkanin had 28 assists and Meredith Artime had a team high 30 digs.
         Millikin dropped the first set in its second match 26-24, but again rallied to win over Tufts University. Millikin won the final three sets 25-14, 25-19 and 25-14. Syversen had 14 kills and 16 digs. Emily Seegmiller added 13 kills and Goodey recorded 11. Mihalkanin had 29 assists and Artime contributed 25 digs.
         Millikin will face the University of Chicago and Rose-Hulman on Saturday.
