Millikin Goes 7-2 in Non-Conference Season

          Under first year head coach Mark Scherer, the Millikin men's basketball team went an impressive 7-2 in the non-conference portion of its season.
          The Big Blue's performance in non-league play was the best by a Millikin men's team since the 2008-09 team's mark of 10-1.  This year's 8-4 start to the year is best start to a season since 2008-09 when Millikin opened the first 12 games at 10-2.
          On December 30, Millikin defeated Principia College 89-72.  Sophomore guard Zach Fisher scored a career high 30 points going 8-12 from three-point range.  Fisher was one shy of the Millikin record for three-pointers in a game of nine.
          Millikin is shooting 49 percent from the field on the season and has out rebounded its opponents by an average of 10 rebounds per game.
          The Big Blue riding a three-game winning streak as they return to College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) action on Wednesday, January 3 at North Park University.
