Men's Basketball Falls at #2 Augustana

    The Millikin men's basketball team lost at #2 Augustana College 66-49 on January 6, 2018 in Rock Island, Illinois.
    Millikin stayed close to the Vikings in the first half and trailed 28-27 at halftime.  The Big Blue took the lead early in the second half on a basket by Juwan Stewart with 19:09 left in the game putting Millikin up 31-30.  Augustana then went on a 11-0 run to pull ahead 41-31 with 15 minutes remaining.  The Vikings run was spurred by three Big Blue turnovers.
    Millikin show 39 percent from the field going 3-13 (23 percent) from three-point range.  Augustana hit 47 percent of its shots including going 9-18 (50 percent) from three-point range.  Millikin won the rebounding battle 36-26, but was hurt by 23 turnovers compared to only 14 for the Vikings.
    Elijah Henry led Millikin with 16 points and six rebounds.  Zach Fisher added 11.  
    Dylan Sortillo led Augustana with 19 points followed by Nolan Ebel with 13.
    Augustana improves to 11-2, 3-1 while Millikin falls to 8-6, 1-4.
