Millikin Volleyball Downs Bluejays

          The Millikin volleyball team defeated Elmhurst College 3-1 (25-23, 25-20, 21-25, 25-20) at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Illinois on October 16.
          Millikin had a balanced offensive attack with senior Emily Seegmiller leading the way with 18 kills. Marissa McElroy added 13 and Peyton Jackson had 12. Alyssa Vignos had a team high 23 digs.  Rose Syversen had 46 set assists, 16 digs, five kills and four service aces.
          Elmhurst got 12 kills each from Taylor Zurliene and Emily Duis.
          Millikin improves to 11-14, 3-3 while Elmhurst falls to 9-15, 2-5.
          The Big Blue are back in action this weekend in tournament play at Concordia-Wisconsin starting on Friday.
