Millikin Soccer Ties With Red Men

          The Millikin men's soccer team played to a 1-1 double overtime tie at Carthage College in a cold Kenosha, Wisconsin on October 20. The game was played with temperatures in the 30s.
          Carthage scored the game's first goal at 1:26 with Adrian Herrera converted a penalty kick.
          Millikin tied the game at the 8:36 mark with Bradyn Nokes scoring off an assist from Austin Taylor. It was Nokes' eighth goal of the season and Taylor's seventh assist.
          After Millikin's goal the defense and goalkeepers took over keeping the game scoreless for the next 100 plus minutes.
          Millikin's Isaac Hopper had seven saves while the Red Men's Niko Mavrogiannis also recorded seven.
          The tie gives Millikin a 8-5-1, 3-2-1 record maintaining the Big Blue's spot in fourth place in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW). Carthage goes to 9-7-1, 4-1-1.
          Millikin has two games remaining and needs to keep winning to secure its spot in the CCIW Tournament.  Millikin will host Illinois Wesleyan on October 24 at 7:30 p.m.
