A successful road trip to Mequon, Wisconsin left the Big Blue with a 2-1 record on the tournament. Millikin volleyball defeated the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in four sets (25-17, 11-25, 25-23, 25-15) before dropping their second match of the day to host Concordia Wisconsin in five (23-25, 19-25, 27-25, 25-22, 8-15).
Peyton Jackson led the Big Blue in kills in the first match with 13, and Emily Seegmiller chipped in 12. Rose Syversen tallied 39 assists while Alyssa Vignos led the team in digs with 23. Gabrielle Coulthard and Maddie Sielski both added two aces apiece in the victory.
In their second match of the day, Jackson was the kills leader again with 18. Marissa McElroy added 15 and Lauren Brummel notched 13. Syversen added 46 more assists to her season total, and Vignos dug up 29 Falcon attacks in the game.
With just two conference games and one tournament left, the Big Blue have a record of 13-15. The Millikin volleyball team travels next to Naperville, Illinois on Tuesday, October 23 for a conference match against North Central College.
