Big Blue Runners Compete at CCIW Championships

         The Millikin cross country team competed at the 2018 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Championships held at St. James Farm in Warrenville, Illinois on October 27. The Millikin men finished in seventh place while the Big Blue women were eighth.
         Millikin's top male runner was William Powell who finished 25th in 26:19.1 for the 8K course. Freshman Austin Bicknell finished in 34th in 26:38.3, which was the 22nd fastest 8K time in school history. Sammy Biddle ran Millikin's 24th best 8K in 26:49.0 to finish in 40th.
         Big Blue freshman Victoria Mineo finished in 13th in the women's 6K race in 22:58.8, which was the fourth best time in school history. Mineo's finish earned her CCIW All-Conference Second Team recognition. Sophomore Mackenzie Dixon finished in 33rd in 23:33.9. Freshman Maddy Eck turned in Millikin's 20th all-time best time at 24:10.5 to finish in 49th place.
