Big Blue Men’s Basketball Ends Season with Road Loss

         The Millikin men's basketball team ended its season with a 76-67 loss at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin on February 17.
         Carroll led 34-22 at halftime.  The Big Blue outscored the Pioneers by three points in the second half, but could not overcome the halftime deficit.
Millikin shot 53 percent from the field and went 7-16 from three point range.  The Big Blue went 4-8 from the free throw line.  Carroll shot 45 percent and went 8-23 from three-point range.  The Pioneers had a big advantage at the free throw line where they went 18-22.  Carroll won the rebounding battle 33-28.
         Millikin got 15 points from Zach Fisher and Michael Beaty.  Korbin Farmer had 13 points and eight rebounds.  DaVante Harrell added 10 points.
         Carroll was led by Joel Heesch and Nick Penny each with 18 points.
         Carroll has been one hottest teams in the conference in the last half of the season.  The Pioneers have now won seven of its last nine games.  Carroll is now 11-13, 7-8.
         Millikin ends the season at 11-14, 4-12.  The 11 wins are the most by a Big Blue team since 2008-09.
