Big Blue Women’s Tennis Sweeps Blackburn

         The Millikin women's tennis team ended its 2017-18 season with a 9-0 win over Blackburn College on April 10 at the Fairview Tennis Center in Decatur, Illinois.
         The Big Blue won every set played in the competition. Morgan Bettner, Molly Angell, Melissa Donovan, Danielle Beard and Katie Cooper each won their singles matches 6-0, 6-0.  Angell and Donovan and Bettner and Delano teamed to win their doubles matches 8-0.  Millikin won two points by default.
         Angell and Donovan ended their Big Blue career by putting their names throughout the Millikin Women's Tennis Record Book.  This season the duo set a new record for doubles matches played in a season with 25 (12-13).  Angell and Donovan set the school record for singles wins in a season last year each posting 18 victories.
         Angell ends her career with the most singles matches played in a career at 99 and shares the career doubles matches at 89.
         Donovan finishes her playing career with the school record for career singles wins at 55 (55-35), most career doubles wins at 48 (48-41) and shares the record for most doubles matches played at 89. 
         Millikin ended the 2017-18 season with a record of 12-8.
