Big Blue Men’s Soccer Rolls Past Illinois College

          The Millikin men's soccer team won its third straight game defeating Illinois College 4-0 on a rainy night at Frank M. Lindsay Field in Decatur, Illinois on September 25.
          The game was delayed in the first period by lighting.  When play resumed the heavy rains began making play very difficult.  The rain stopped in the second period and the Big Blue offense got going.  Trey Knighton scored his first of two goals at 51:57 with the assist to Patrick Dolan.  Takunda Jakachira scored at 61:48 with the assist going to Bradyn Nokes.  Knighton would find the net 41 second later to make it 3-0 Millikin.  Eli McClinton was credited with the assist on the Big Blue's third goal.  Millikin closed out the scoring in the 73rd minute on a goal from Rudy Mathieson with the assist going to Gabriel Gil.
          Millikin outshot the Blue Boys 34-10.  The Big Blue's Isaac Hopper earned the win in goal with three saves in 76 minutes of action.  Illinois College's Mitchell Stonehouse had 11 saves.
          Millikin is now 6-3 while Illinois College goes to 3-7.
