Millikin Triathlon competes at Tri The Illini

            The four members of Millikin Triathlon team showed improved strength competing in the Tri The Illini event in Champaign, Illinois on Sunday. The event was an open triathlon event hosted by the University of Illinois Triathlon Club.
            Four NCAA teams participated in the Collegiate Division with club athletes from other universities such as University of Illinois, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Purdue and Northwestern. The whole team finished the full length event which included 300 meter swim, 14 mile bike ride, and 5K run. Junior, Morgan Powers was the top finisher for Millikin with a top 10 finish. Powers was followed in successive order by the three freshmen: Hope Roderick, Jaden Lockard, and Brigid Duesterhaus.
            Millikin will travel to compete in the NCAA Eastern Qualifier on October 20th in Virginia.
