Big Blue Volleyball Splits Matches at Kowak Invite

        The Millikin volleyball team split a pair of matches played at the Kohawk Invite hosted by Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on October 19.
        In its first match, Millikin lost to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse 3-1 (25-18, 25-18, 16-25, 25-23).  Marissa McElroy and Tori Stuart led Millikin with 13 kills each.  Lauren Brummel had 12 kills.  Rose Syversen had 36 set assists, 11 digs and a team high four service aces.
        The Big Blue rebounded to defeat Martin Luther 3-0 (25-15, 25-13, 25-17).  Stuart led Millikin with six kills and Jessi Kreder added five.  Millikin had 14 service aces in the match led by Syversen with four.  Alyssa Vignos and Julianna Vassallo each had three service aces.
        Millikin is now 15-10 on the season.
