Men’s Soccer Falls to Wheaton

          The Millikin men's soccer team lost to Wheaton College 3-0 on October 23 at Frank M. Lindsay Field in Decatur, Illinois.
          Wheaton scored the opening goal of the game in the fifth minute on a goal by Stafford Dowling.  The Big Blue kept the Thunder off the scoreboard for the next 75 minutes plus until Peter Whallon scored on a breakaway goal to make it 2-0 at 82:28.  Joey Sopikiotis scored the game's final goal with one minute and six seconds remaining in the contest.
          Alessandro Desario had five shots for Millikin, with two of them being saved by Thunder goalie Hasten Biddlecomb. 
          Aiden Cesa had five saves in goal for Millikin.
          The Big Blue are now 5-7-1, 1-4 while Wheaton improves to 10-4-2, 3-2-1.
          Millikin is home on Saturday, October 26 against Carthage College at 7:30 p.m.
