Big Blue Women Runners 11th at Augsutana Meet

The Millikin men's cross country team finished in eighth place at the Brissman Ludeen Classic hosted by Augustana College at the Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island, Illinois on October 4. The Big Blue women were 11th.
          The men's race featured 23 teams with 340 runners. Millikin's top finisher was freshman Dane Alexander who completed the 8K course in 26:22.1, which is 13th fastest in school history. Freshman Gabe Bush turned in Millikin's 20th all-time best time at 26:29.8 to finish in 38th. Junior Taijhan Nelson was 46th in 26:34.3, which is 22nd all-time for the Big Blue.
          The women's race included 18 teams with 240 runners. Joycelyn VanAntwerp was the Big Blue's top performer finishing the 6K race in 37th in 23:42.6. Maddy Eck was 49th in 24:02.6, which is 17th fastest in school history.
