Millikin Football Falls to #6 North Central

        The Millikin football team wrapped up the season with a 59-32 loss to sixth ranked North Central College at Frank M. Lindsay Field in Decatur, Illinois on November 16. 
        Millikin ends the season at 5-5, 4-5 while North Central improves to 9-1, 8-1.  The Cardinals will now play the waiting game for an at-large bid in the NCAA Division III playoffs.
        The Big Blue hung tough against the NCAA Division III top scoring team and leader in total offense.  Millikin is the only team other than Wheaton College, who defeated North Central 31-25, to score more than 14 points in a game against the Cardinals.
        North Central started the game with an 89 yard kickoff return to DeAngelo Hardy to take a quick 7-0 lead.  Millikin would post touchdowns in the first three quarters and two in the fourth quarter.
        Millikin's Cal Pohrte was 15-31 on the day for 121 yards and three touchdowns.  Jordan Smith, Colton Lockwood and freshman Jalen Holliman each had touchdown catches.
        Richard Cosey led the Millikin rushing attack with 26 carries for 152 yards and one touchdown.  Cosey had a 48 yard run on his first carry of the game.
        Millikin linebacker David Jones scooped up a fumble on a North Central punt play and raced 24 yards for the touchdown.
        Senior Matt Brown ended his Millikin career with a team high 10 tackles.
        North Central quarterback Broc Rutter was 17-24 for 293 yards and three touchdowns.  Andrew Kamienski had seven catches for 182 yards and two touchdowns.  Running back Ethan Greenfield had 14 carries for 199 yards and three touchdowns.
        North Central had 506 yards of total offense while Millikin had 324.
