CHICAGO, Ill. - Millikin Men's and Women's Swimming were both on the road Friday as they competed in the 11th Annual Phoenix Fall Classic at the University of Chicago. In the first day of the three day event, the teams' relay groups would swim the 200 Freestyle Relay, 1650 Freestyle and the 400 Medley Relay. 

Avery Fisher would swim an untapered best time in the 1650 finishing 17th place with a time of 19:07.03. Sean Griffin would follow that with a lifetime best swim in the 1650 Freestyle finishing 11th with a time of 17:13.64. Griffin's 1000 Freestyle split of 10:24.33 in this event would rank him ninth in the Top 10 rankings for Millikin.

The women's relays from this evening would also rank in the Top 10 for Millikin. The 200 freestyle relay featuring Olivia Marquardt, Kelli Sangston, Hope Roderick and Brigid Duesterhaus finished in 1:43.54 clocking the sixth fastest time in school history.

Ending the night, the women's 400 medley relay of Brigid Duesterhaus, Fiona Rosko, Olivia Marquardt and Kelli Sangston would swim a time of 4:06.62 which ranks them third in school history.

The second day of the University of Chicago Phoenix Fall Classic will take place Saturday, November 23 beginning at 10:00 AM with the 200 IM Prelims.
