Millikin Wrestling Remains Unbeaten

          The Millikin University wrestling team remained undefeated on the season picking up three dual wins at the Olivet College Comet Duals in Olivet, Michigan on November 23.
          Millikin opened the day with a 34-5 win over Alma followed by a 32-7 victory over Olivet. The Big Blue had to come from behind to defeat Heidelberg University 23-19.
          Freshman Zac Blasioli won all three of his matches at 125 pounds including a pin against Heidelberg.
          Bradan Birt went 3-0 at 165 pounds with two major decisions 10-2 and 15-7 and a 15-0 technical fall in the second period against Heidelberg.
          At 197, Logan Hagerbaumer had three pins including over Austin Smith of Heidelberg. The six points brought the Big Blue back from a 19-14 deficit.
          Senior Evan Betz scored his second win of the day against Heidelberg, a 7-0 decision to seal the 23-19 victory for Millikin.
          Four Big Blue wrestlers went 2-1 on the day including sophomore Ren Dazey at 133 pounds, freshman Peter McCusker at 157 pounds, junior Jake Tisza at 174 and junior Taylor McGiffen at 184 pounds. Tisza's only loss came in the sudden victory segment to
Jeremiah Slage of Heidelberg.
          Millikin is now 8-0 in dual matches this season.
