Millikin Women Fall in Season Finale

         The Millikin women's basketball team lost its final game of the 2018-19 season 77-66 on February 16 at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Illinois.
         Thanks to an Elmhurst win over North Central earlier in the day, the winner of the Millikin vs. North Park contest would claim the final spot in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) post season tournament.
         North Park lead the entire game except for one tie and lead 44-33 at halftime. Millikin shot 44 percent from the field while North Park hit on 46 percent. North Park had a major edge in the rebounding battle 46-32.
         It was senior night for the Big Blue with Yanni Saddler, Faith Smith and McKinley Carey playing their final games for Millikin. Sadder ended her career scoring 26 points giving her 1,111 career points ranking her 18th on the Millikin women's basketball all-time scoring list.  Sophomore Jordan Hildebrand had 15 points for Millikin while junior Briana Anthony added 12.
         Jayla Johnson led North Park with 19 points and 12 rebounds.
         Millikin ends the year at 8-17, 4-12 while North Park goes to 10-15, 5-11.
