Millikin Women’s Soccer Wins Home Opener

          The Millikin women's soccer team defeated Westminster College 3-1 in its home opener at Frank M. Lindsay Field in Decatur, Illinois on September 1.
          Millikin scored its opening goal at the 15 minute mark when Amanda Noser turned a steal into a goal from 10 yards out.
          Leading 1-0 in the second half, Millikin scored two more times.  Mattie Brown scored on a header off a throw in from Lucy Koger.  Approximately four minutes later, Maddy Wood scored on a break-away goal with Brown picking up the assist.
          Hope Limoges earned the win in goal for the Big Blue recording three saves.
          Emily Siegel had Westminster's goal.
          Millikin outshot the Bluejays 17-6.
          Next up for the Big Blue is a match at Hanover College on September 7.
