Millikin to Induct Five into Athletic Hall of Fame

DECATUR, Illinois—Millikin University will induct five new members in the Millikin Athletic Hall of Fame during the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Sunday, September 29 during Millikin's 104th Homecoming Celebration.
          The 2019 Induction Class includes former football and track athlete Mark Coglianese '85, women's basketball player and cross country runner Jennifer Falbe Douglass '00, women's basketball player Terri Jones Kawczynski '85, Millikin volleyball coach Debbie Kiick, and former wrestler Kevin Wolff '85.
          Mark Coglianese of New Lenox is being inducted for his contributions to Millikin in football and track and field was well as his accomplishments as a high school coach.
          Coglianese was a four-year letter winner and three-year starter in football.  He was named to the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) All-Conference team and named the Big Blue's Most Valuable Defensive Back senior year his senior year. Coglianese was a two-year letter winner in track.
          Coglianese has worked at Providence Catholic High School for 30 years teaching and serving as the head football and boys track coach. His 2014 team was the IHSA 7A State Champion and his 2009 team was the state runners-up. Prior to becoming head coach, Coglianese was the defensive coordinator for seven of Providence's state championships, which included a 50-game winning streak. Coglianese led the Providence Catholic 2013 track team to a second place IHSA 3A finish.
          Coglianese was a Physical Education major at Millikin and earned a Master's in Education with coaching concentration from Illinois State University.
          Mark is married to Betty McHugh Coglianese '86, He has two children: Mark, 29; Mandy, 26 and two grandchildren: Rhett Grayson and Oakley Grace.
          Jennifer Falbe Douglass of Mt. Zion is being inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame for her accomplishments in women's basketball and cross country.
          Falbe Douglass starred for the Big Blue women's basketball team from 1996 to 2000. She was named the CCIW All-Conference First Team in 1999-00 when she had 122 steals. She ended her playing career with 404 steals and 1,086 points averaging 10.2 points per game.  In cross country, Falbe Douglass still holds Millikin's seventh fastest three mile time of 19:23.
          Falbe Douglass earned a degree in Elementary Education from Millikin and a master's in instructional teaching from Central Michigan University Extended Program.  She currently teaches in a Montessori first to third grade classroom at Enterprise Elementary School in Decatur.
          Jennifer is married to Ty Douglass '00 and she has two children: Aly, 12, and James, 8.
          Terri Jones Kawczynski of Mount Juliet, Tennessee is being honored for her accomplishments in women's basketball.  Jones Kawczynski scored 980 points in her Big Blue career ranking her sixth all-time.  She averaged 10.2 rebounds per game and played a key role in Millikin qualifying for the NCAA Tournament three times including a third place finish in 1985.
          Jones Kawczynski earned a degree in Commercial Music at Millikin.  While a student, Jones Kawczynski was a member of the Singing Blue and the Decatur Park Singers. He was active in Alpha Chi Omega, Omicron Delta Kappa, Rho Lambda, Sigma Alpha Iota.
          Jones Kawczynski has been the music director for two churches and is currently sharing her love of basketball with children as the administrator for the West Wilson Basketball Association.   
          Terri is married to Mark Kawczynski and has two children Kyle, 29, and Andrew, 28. 
          Debbie Kiick of Warrensburg is being inducted for her outstanding contributions as a Millikin head coach.  In her 19th season leading the Big Blue volleyball program, Kiick is Millikin's all-time winningest volleyball coach.  She led the Millikin softball program for five years from 2008-2012.
          Prior to this season, Kiick had a career record of 440-233 (.656) leading the Millikin volleyball program.  She has led by Big Blue to four CCIW titles, coached 24  All-CCIW First Team volleyball athletes, 21 Second Team, and 12 third team/honorable mention athletes. In addition, she has coached two "Newcomers of the Year," four "Players of the Year," and led the Big Blue to the NCAA Tournament four times.
          In her five year stint of leading the Millikin softball program she won one CCIW Championships and led the Big Blue to 100 wins. In 2010-11, Kiick was named the CCIW Coach of the Year in both volleyball and softball.  She is the only person in conference history to be named Coach of the Year in two unrelated Sports.  Kiick has been named the CCIW Volleyball Coach of the Year four times.
          Debbie is married to Brad Kiick and has three daughters: Carly Roach (Matt), 36, Katy Condon (Jeff), 34, and Molly Kiick (Brett Vetterlein), 31. She has five grandchildren: Peyton Roach, 8, twin sister Reese Roach, 8, Campbell Roach, 5, Drew Roach, 2, and Gloria Condon, 9 months.
          Kevin Wolff of Cumming, Georgia is being inducted for his standout career in wrestling at Millikin.  Wolff was a two-time CCIW Champion at 190 pounds and qualified for the NCAA Tournament three times. In 1984, Wolff earned All-American honors with a seventh place finish in the national tournament. Wolff played football for the Big Blue from 1981-84.
          Wolff majored in Marketing at Millikin and is currently working for State Farm Insurance as a bodily injury claims team manager.
Kevin is married to Nancy Wolff and has two sons Trevor Wolff, 26, and Matt Wolff, 25.
