Millikin Women Fall to First Place North Park

          The Millikin women's basketball team lost at College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) co-leader North Park University 61-53 on January 15 in Chicago.
          The Vikings lead 16-14 at the end of the first quarter and each team scored 14 points in the second quarter to make it a 30-28 game at halftime.  The game was tied at 41-41 at the end of the third quarter.  North Park would go 5-9 (55.5 percent) in the fourth quarter while Millikin made only 4-12 (33 percent) from the field.
          For the game, Millikin shot 33 percent (20-61) from the field while going 4-16 (25 percent) from three-point range.  North Park shot 36 percent (20-55) and made 6-19 (32 percent) from three-point land.  The Vikings made 15-19 from the free throw line including making 9-10 in the fourth quarter.  Millikin was 9-15 (60 percent) from the line.  North Park won the rebounding battle 43-38.
          Briana Anthony led Millikin with 11 points and six rebounds.  Aubrey Staton had 10 points and six rebounds.  Abby Ratsch had eight points and eight rebounds.
          Emily Czuhajewski led North Park with 18 points.  Jayla Johnson had a double double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
          North Park is now 12-3 (5-1) while Millikin goes to 10-5 (3-3)
