Millikin Women Lose to Carthage

         The Millikin women's basketball team lost to Carthage College 58-49 on February 8 at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Illinois.
         Millikin struggled from the field making only 35 percent (18-51) from the field and making 6-22 (27 percent) from three-point range.  Carthage shot 36.5 percent for the field (19-52) and make 7-22 from three-point range.  After going 0-13 from beyond the arc in the first half, the Lady Reds made 2-3 from three-point range in the third quarter and 5-6 in the important fourth quarter.  Carthage won the rebounding battle 37-34.  The Big Blue committed 20 turnovers while forcing 16. 
         Millikin's top scorer was Miranda Fox with 10 points and seven rebounds. 
         Autumn Kalis led Carthage with 21 points followed by Sammie Woodard with 17.
         Millikin falls to 13-8, 6-6 while Carthage improves to 10-11, 5-7.
