Millikin Softball Wins Twice-Winning Streak at 10

        The Millikin softball team won two more games in Florida on March 11 extending its winning streak to 10 straight games. The Big Blue defeated Penn State-Behrend 13-3 and Husson University 4-2.
        In the win over Penn State-Behrend, Millikin scored one run in the first and four in the second inning. After Penn State answered with three in the third inning, the Big Blue scored two in the fourth and ended the game on the run rule in the fifth inning with a six run outburst
        Freshman Gretchen Gould was 3-4 including a double with four RBI.
Skielyr Trenkle had two hits including a double and drove home two. Kailey Pulec was 2-3 and scored twice.
        In game two, Millikin trailed 2-1 before rallying with a three run bottom of the fourth inning. The Big Blue were limited to four hits, but took advantage of four Husson errors. Pulec was 2-3 with one run scored and one RBI. Kalli Farmer had one RBI.
        Aly Armstrong was the winning pitcher throwing seven innings allowing four hits and two earned runs.
        Millikin is now 10-3 on the season. The Big Blue return to action on Friday trying to match the program's 13 game winning streak achieved last season.
