Millikin Big Blue Football Seniors

As we continue to salute the 2020 graduating class, we want to highlight eight seniors who have contributed to the Big Blue football program over the last four years.

Take a look at each individual's season-by-season statistics and personal accomplishments below!

2019 Football Seniors

Rodney Baker

Cahokia, Illinois

2019

  • Started nine games at offensive tackle.

2018 

  • Started at left tackle in all 10 games.

2017

  • Started all 10 games on offensive line.

2015 

  • Saw action on both offensive and defensive lines playing in nine games and recording 15 tackles.

Matthew Brown

Champaign, Illinois

2019

  • Named to 2019 CCIW All-Conference Second Team at Linebacker
  • Co-Captain
  • Millikin’s Defensive Most Valuable Player
  • Team high 77 tackles (49 solo) with nine tackles for a loss and three pass breakups.
  • CCIW Academic All-Conference and Jack Swartz Award Winner

2018 

  • Big Blue Co-Captain
  • Named to the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-America® Division III Second Team
  • Selected at Big Blue’s Most Valuable Player
  • Lead Millikin with 66 tackles including 7.5 tackles for a loss, four sacks and had one interception
  • Named CCIW Defensive Player of the Week.
  • Chosen to D3Football.com Team of the Week.
  • CCIW Academic All-Conference and Jack Swartz Award Winner.


2017

  • Named Millikin Most Valuable Player on Defense.
  • Had team high 83 tackles with 9.5 tackles for a loss with a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
  • CCIW Academic All-Conference
  • CCIW Merle Chapman Award Winner

2016

  • Named Millikin Defensive Rookie of the Year.
  • Played in eight games with 47 total tackles including 8.5 tackles for a loss with four sacks and one interception and two pass breakups.

Jackson Delfosse

Chicago, Illinois 

2019

  • CCIW All-Conference Second Team Offensive Lineman

2018

  • Named to CCIW All-Conference Second Team.
  • Started all 10 games at right guard.

2017

  • Played in six games with five starts.

2016

  • Played in three games.

Davion Jefferson

Kankakee, Illinois

2019

  • Played in all 10 games with 29 tackles including 3.5 tackles for a loss.

2018

  • Played in all 10 games with 27 tackles including five tackles for a loss.

2017

  • Played in all 10 games with 27 tackles including 6.5 tackles for a loss.

2016

  • Played in nine games with 11 tackles including two sacks.

George Jimerson, Jr.

Ford Heights, Illinois

2019

  • Had 27 carries for 121 yards.

2018

  • Rushed for 326 yards on 79 carries and scored one touchdown.

2017

  • Had 50 carries for 219 yards and two touchdowns.
  • Made nine catches for 57 yards. 

2016

  • Led Millikin in rushing with 399 yards and one touchdown.
  • Had 14 catches for 176 yards and one touchdown.

David Rivers

Memphis, Tennessee

2019

  • Played in nine games with 31 tackles, two interceptions and seven pass breakups.

 

2018

  • Played in eight games with 33 tackles, one pass breakup, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

Jordan Smith

Shelbyville, Illinois

2019

  • Named to CCIW All-Conference First Team
  • Had 59 catches for 1,053 setting new Millikin record for yards in season.
  • Scored 11 touchdowns and ended career with school record 48 touchdown catches.
  • Millikin’s all-time leading receiver with 3,353 yards and 182 receptions.

2018

  • Named to CCIW All-Conference First Team
  • Had 1,004 receiving yards with Millikin & CCIW record 17 touchdown catches.

2017

  • Named to CCIW All-Conference First Team
  • Had 43 catches for 818 yards and 13 touchdowns.

2016

  • Played in 10 games with 20 catches for 438 yards and a team high seven TDs.

Jordan Williams

Champaign, Illinois

2019

  • Team Co-Captain
  • Won Team’s Big Blue Award
  • CCIW Academic All-Conference

2018

  • Played in six games with four tackles.
  • CCIW Academic All-Conference

2017

  • Starter on Special Teams with four tackles.
  • CCIW Academic All-Conference

  • Played in five games with seven tackles.
