Millikin Men's Basketball to Open Season-Be a Virtual Fan

Despite not having a chance to attend games in person, Millikin University Athletics and the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin want fans to know there are numerous options for following their favorite team.

The Millikin men's basketball team opens its season on Saturday, January 23 at Carthage College at 2 p.m. Check out the pregame release for Saturday's game or the Big Blue men's basketball magazine to learn more about this year's team. The Millikin men will open its home season on Monday, January 25 at 6 p.m. against Carthage.

All six of the Big Blue's men's basketball games will be broadcast live on radio at Fox Sports 1050AM in the greater Decatur area and online at www.nowdecatur.com. Millikin will have a live video streaming broadcast of all the home games at athletics.millikin.edu\watch. Live Stats will also be available for all home games at https://athletics.millikin.edu/sidearmstats/wbball/summary.

Most of Millikin's CCIW opponents will provide some type of live coverage of away Big Blue men's basketball games. For links to that coverage visit the Millikin Athletics web site homepage at athletics.millikin.edu or go to the men's basketball schedule page.

The Millikin Athletics web site and social media accounts (see links below) will have the latest scores, news and results of all Millikin's athletic teams competing this spring.

The CCIW reminds fans they will have the opportunity to follow their favorite teams during the winter 2021 season.

CCIW member institutions will web stream men's & women's basketball and men's volleyball competition this winter. Other winter sports will be featured on institutional websites and social media outlets. Visit the institution's athletics website and go to the team's schedule page, which will include links to available broadcasts and see links below for each athletics department's main Twitter and Facebook handles.

Due to state and local restrictions, as well as campus visitor policies, no spectators will be permitted at any indoor CCIW sporting events at this time. All CCIW members are fully focused on maintaining the health and safety of our student-athletes, coaches, staff and campus communities.

Campus and conference officials will continue to monitor federal, state, local and campus conditions and determine a spectator policy for spring sports at a later time.
