Millikin Wrestling Remains Undefeated

The Millikin wrestling team improved to 7-0 on the season in dual competition winning all four of its matches at the Olivet College Comet Duals in Olivet, Michigan on November 20.

In its first dual, Millikin defeated Adrian 34-15. The Big Blue followed that up with a 25-13 win over Mount Union. In the third dual, Millikin dominated Trine University winning 45-6. The Big Blue closed out the day with a 31-11 win over the host Comets.

Against Adrian, Millikin won four matches by fall with Tommy Russell (125), Peter McCusker (157), Bradan Birt (165), Dejon Glaster (174) scoring six team points with the victory my fall.

In the dual with Mt. Union, Millikin fell behind 6-0 before DJ Millet scored a major decision 17-4 at 141 pounds. Trailing 9-4, Millikin jumped in front with a four straight wins. McCusker won by decision followed by Birt scoring a technical fall 17-2. Glaster won major decision 11-3 and Nick White won by forfeit at 184. Brayan Reyes closed out the Millikin scoring with an 8-3 win at 285 pounds.

Millikin scored six wins by fall and three decisions in bout with Trine. Russell, Zac Blasioli (133), McCusker, Birt, Glaster and Reyes all had pins for the Big Blue.

Millet went to 4-0 on the day against Olivet with a 3-1 win at 133. McCusker and Birt remained perfect on the day winning both of their matches by technical falls against Olivet. McCusker won 16-0 at 157 and Birt won 18-3 at 165. Reyes was also undefeated at 285 pounds winning a 3-0 decision against Olivet. Reyes had three wins by decision and a win by fall in 44 seconds on the day. Russell, Blasioli, Millet and Caden Owens were additional winners for the Big Blue against the Comets.
