Millikin Men’s Soccer Wins in Return to the Pitch

The Millikin men's soccer was victorious in its return to action defeating Augustana College 2-1 in the spring season opener for the Big Blue.
 
Freshman Johannes Smaaberg scored both of the Millikin goals giving first year Big Blue Head Coach Paul Anderson his first career win as a head coach. Smaaberg scored in the first period after a Vikings' defensive gamble gave him an open shot at an empty net from 10 yards out.
 
Augustana's Salah Aghlaf tied the game at the 54:40 mark with an unassisted goal.
 
Smaaberg scored the game winner at the 86:20 mark off an assist from Seth Crull.
