Big Blue Men’s Basketball Falls in CCIW Quarterfinals

          The Millikin men's basketball team lost to top seed Wheaton College 81-53 in Wheaton, Illinois on March 6 in the opening round of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament.
          Wheaton led the entire game with a 40-27 advantage at halftime. Millikin made 19-58 (33 percent) from the field making 4-20 from three-point range. Wheaton shot 24-55 (44 percent) and made 9-25 from beyond the arc. Wheaton won the rebounding battle 41-31.
          Millikin's top scorer was Calvin Fisher with 13 points and nine rebounds. Scott Gowan added 12. Sam Stichnote had a team high 10 rebounds while scoring six points.
          Nyameye Adom led Wheaton with 27 points followed by Tyson Cruickshank with 19.
          Millikin ends the season at 1-12 while Wheaton advanced to the semifinals with an 11-0 record.
