Big Blue Women’s Soccer Loses at IWU

The Millikin women's soccer team lost at Illinois Wesleyan 3-1 on April 21 in Bloomington, Illinois.
 
Millikin took a 1-0 advantage at the 8:28 mark on a Maddy Wood goal with the assist going to freshman Bailee Blecker. The Big Blue held the lead until the 41st minute when the Titans' Caelyn Steffens tied the game. Illinois Wesleyan scored twice in the second half to secure the victory with goals going to Lauren Shanks and Anny Mitra.
 
Illinois Wesleyan keep the pressure on the Millikin defense all night out shooting Millikin 29-5. Millikin senior goalkeeper Jennifer Miller recorded 12 saves.
