Millikin Wins H.W. Wright Classic

The Millikin men's and women's cross country teams both finished in first place at its own H.W. Wright Classic held on September 24 at South Shores Park in Decatur.

The Big Blue men had four finishers in the top 10 lead by Dane Alexander in third at 26:49.9. Bradyn Olmstead finished in fourth at 26:58.3 followed by Ben Kuxmann in fifth in 27:00.6. Freshman Isaiah Ditta finished in eighth place in a time of 27:36.0.

The Millikin women claimed six of the top 10 spots in the 6K race. Hailey O'Malley finished in second place in 24:06.8, which was the 22nd fastest time in school history. Quincy Collings was fourth in 24:13.3 (23rd fastest in school history). Alyssa Ruiz turned in Millikin's 24th all-time best time at 24:17.7 to finish in sixth place. Grace Talbert finished in eighth in 24:43.6 followed by Mackenzie Dixon in ninth in 24:44.3 and Rylee Blake in 10th in 24:45.0.
